The Story of Securing Data and Providing Peace of Mind

The Mental Health Center of Denver (MHCD) helps thousands of children, families, and adults live more fulfilling and productive lives. As a non-profit in mental health, their technology systems must be secure and reliable, as they handle very sensitive and confidential information. MHCD is a long-time user of CORT and NuView software to manage their payroll and HRIS (Human Resource Information System) for more than 1,000 employees and volunteers. They became concerned about support as their technology consultant started outsourcing customer service activities to off-shore resources, not as experienced with the software. MHCD came to Nine Peaks to evaluate their existing systems and future business requirements for the next three years.

Solution

The project commenced with a two-day kick-off with in-depth interviews with all stakeholders to uncover the needs of each contributor and the overall organization.

“The kick-off exceeded my expectations in every way imaginable!” –  Kim Baumert, MHCD Project Manager

Nine Peaks conducted a fit/gap analysis, created a requirements document (for an RFI), and provided a market analysis of potential software alternatives (vendors). Using this information, MHCD decided to make a change. Nine Peaks managed the RFI process, organized vendor demos, and assisted with contract negotiations.

Results

The MHCD leadership team has the information to make an informed decision for the future of their organization. Having Nine Peaks, an independent, non-bias consultant, perform this evaluation saved the MHCD staff hours of work. Stay tuned for continued results as they make the change.
