My title is Director of Software Engineering. I direct and oversee the software engineering function in developing, releasing, and maintaining our code and the quality of its output.
I have been in technology for over 30 years. My career became established when I was a part of a mid-nineties start up called IUMA, the Internet Underground Music Archive. Its claim to fame is being the first free hi-fi music archive on the internet.
I have always had a technical mindset. I attribute some of that to my father who showed me that anything is fixable. He was the kind of person that would sit down at the table with a broken toaster and a screwdriver, figure out what was wrong with it, and fix it.
Making a difference here at Nine Peaks. I enjoy being able to mentor developers, am an enthusiast of Agile development practices, driven by process improvement and positive outcomes.

The scientific method has led to countless innovations in our world. The process of reducing variables and testing the outcomes of our work has allowed us to push innovation further. That process has built our understanding of the world and the things in it that we can affect.
The Owyhee River in Eastern Oregon and Western Idaho is my latest objective for an adventure motorcycle ride. I hope to get out there soon!
