My role started as an administrative assistant to Eric helping with daily tasks and keeping the business running smoothly. As I became more familiar with the company and our service offerings, I got pretty excited to learn as much as I could about Enterprise Content Management which is the organizing and storing of digital content. I began training on the Laserfiche software product that Nine Peaks offers. In just a few short months I became a Laserfiche Gold Certified (editor update: and has since become a Laserfiche Platinum Certified) Professional and am now helping our clients organize documents, as well as automate standard business processes to become more efficient.
It’s an interesting medley. I have a dual Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Policy and Biology, worked as a research assistant, interned for an environmental campaign, labored in customer service for a bit, and have also supported numerous staff as an administrative assistant.
I didn’t realize I had a passion for it until I started working for Nine Peaks. Now I can’t get enough of it!
The best part of my job is working with our clients to understand their frustrations and problems. Then matching a long term solution that not only solves their immediate need but helps them streamline their processes and elevate their internal communication. Technology, used correctly, can make a remarkable impact on people’s lives.
The technology industry changes so quickly. I see more change coming with automating business processes. Many companies don’t understand what they can automate and the effect it can have on efficiency and lowering overhead. The future is an entirely paperless environment.
When looking for technology solutions, always think ten or more years down the line. Fixing an immediate problem that only solves a short-term problem will not benefit you in the long run. Creating sustainable solutions is key!
Definitely, cast iron! You can cook anything in it, and it’s always to die for!
Ireland. My grandparents emigrated from Ireland, and I’d love to spend a few weeks there.
Costco, I’m a sucker for that store. It has everything I need all the time! Plus, in bulk!
